The New Old Barakholka is a project designed to create a new European culture in the Ukrainian community. As a true European flea market, the most happening, vibrant and free inhabitants of Kiev (and not only) gather in a certain place and sell their most valuable and favorite stuff. The proceeds of the sales money go to charity projects pre-selected by the organizers. The New Old born in March 2014 thanks to the team of bright and energetic girls: Alyona Zlobina Olga Beletskaya, Lena Felony, Alena Kovalenko, Svetlana Tower, Anna Koval, Galina Dorosh, Sasha Titarenko, Mila Kovtonyuk. The first Flea market occurred in early summer in the whole of Kyiv. Inspired by the success the team started to develop the project further, turning it into a real culture of the city The Second Charity Flea Market The New Old passed 7 Sep on Vozdvizhenka. More 700 participants sold their junk to help kids who suffered during the hostilities. The event attracted more than 6,000. The Second Charity flea market was collected 192 515 UAH 905 USD 400 rubles and 4.8 euros.
