Since the start of the full-scale invasion, about 20,000 people in Ukraine have been victims of mines and explosive devices every year, and most of them are civilians.
To help reduce this terrible statistic, we, together with @ukrainiandeminers, held an event in Kharkiv as part of the Mine Danger program with the support of PrJSC Mondelez Ukraine.
🖇 The goal of the program is to raise awareness of mine risks and dangers among children in frontline areas.
At the event, participants underwent a series of trainings, which included:
🔸Theoretical knowledge about the main types of explosive devices and how to recognize them in order to avoid risky situations;
🔸Practical exercises with simulation of real dangerous situations, where participants practiced their actions under threat;
🔸First aid training, which allowed participants to acquire skills that can save lives in extreme conditions.
Together with the Association of Minesweepers of Ukraine, we have created a space for learning critical skills that can protect children and adults in risk zones🫂
It is especially important for children to have such knowledge, because they learn to be aware, not afraid, which provides them with more confidence in difficult conditions.
For our foundation, this is a way to show how knowledge and joint efforts can make life safer.
We thank PrJSC "Mondelez Ukraine" for their concern and support of this program, and the Association of Minesweepers of Ukraine for their professionalism and implementation of the initiative. Together we are building a world where our children can live in safety 💚
