The institution is under the Office of health in Kyiv regional state administration . Kyiv regional children's home created to care, education, medical and social rehabilitation of children – orphans, children left without parental care, children whose parents are not able to educate them on health, material living conditions, as well as children with physical and mental development.

- Development of creative abilities and interests of the child,
- Medical and social rehabilitation, development of abilities and skills necessary for learning
- Disease prevention, therapeutic work and catering, the implementation of state policy in the field of education.
The children's home is located in a room that is not typical (built in 1959). The overall building has an area of 1418, 7 sq. m. Water in the child's home separately from the city. In 2002, renovated the water tower and installed a water filter. Heating is carried out through its own boiler. In 2004 completed and put into operation a new canteen with the milk kitchen and fully equipped with new equipment at the expense of sponsors. In 2004, renovated Laundry, at the expense of sponsor's means equipment to be replaced: purchased an industrial washing machine, centrifuge, Ironing and drying roller. Boiler room, Laundry, catering, garages, warehouses on the territory of the children's home placed separately. Last year demolished the old buildings, in their place, there are playgrounds.
