The Blagomay Charitable Foundation is launching a new project aimed at creating sensory rooms in medical institutions in Kyiv and Sumy regions.

A sensory room is a specially designed safe space that helps children achieve emotional stability, reduce anxiety, and begin the journey toward psychological recovery. This approach is especially important for children with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other psycho-emotional or neurological conditions.

This is not a luxury — it is a direct response to the real needs of children living in today’s environment, where daily stress, anxiety, and overstimulation are common.

The project is already underway and includes:

• procurement of specialized equipment;

• adaptation of premises to accommodate sensory spaces;

• training of medical staff in collaboration with child psychologists and special education experts.

The first sensory rooms are expected to open in the summer of 2025.

And this is just the beginning. Blagomay plans to expand the initiative to reach thousands of children in need of special attention, support, and a calm, caring environment.
