Today, more than 138,000 km² of Ukraine’s territory is potentially contaminated with landmines and explosive remnants of war — the largest figure in the world. Millions of children live in daily danger.
That is why the Blagomay Charity Fund, in partnership with Oriflame Ukraine and the AF Jochnick Foundation, continues to implement a large-scale educational project aimed at preventing risks related to explosive hazards.
In cooperation with the Ukrainian Deminers Association NGO, we are conducting EORE (Explosive Ordnance Risk Education) sessions for children, teachers, caregivers, and community members in the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.
During these interactive sessions, participants:
-
learn to recognize explosive objects;
-
understand the correct actions to take upon discovery;
-
practice everyday safety protocols;
-
receive useful materials and access to a mobile application.
The project covers both urban centers and small communities. Trainings are held in kindergartens, schools, family support centers, and even corporate offices.
❗️These lessons can save lives.
Don’t approach. Don’t touch. Call 112.
We sincerely thank Oriflame Ukraine and the AF Jochnick Foundation for their financial support, the Ukrainian Deminers Association for their expertise, and all participants for their attentiveness and care.
More sessions are ahead — follow our updates and real-life stories from the field.
