Historical note The orphanage as an institution was established in 1980, subordinate to the education Department of the Vinnytsya city Council. By order of the Chairman of regional state administration from 14.11.2003, No. 440 is changed from the local to the regional subordination. The focus of the institution TASKS:
- provision for children-orphans, children deprived of parental care and children from families in difficult life circumstances, living conditions, training, education and development, close to family;
- the provision of social protection, medico-psycho-pedagogical rehabilitation, correction and social adaptation of pupils with regard to the state of health, individual characteristics of psychophysical development;
- the protection of the rights of children-orphans, children deprived of parental care and children of families in difficult circumstances, to an adequate standard of living, education, receive a certain level of education, professional orientation, social adaptation, preparing them for independent life and work;
- creation of conditions for education of children of preschool and school-age children who need correction of physical and (or) mental development;
- assistance for physical and mental development of children with disabilities;
- ensuring the correction of physical defects;
- formation of legal culture, human values;
- creation of conditions for the preservation and maintenance of family ties of children;
- facilitating the placement of children in various forms of family education;
- promotion of further vocational training and employment of pupils-graduates.
