🇺🇦 Charity Fund "Blagomay" at the international Erasmus+ seminar in 🇫🇷 Strasbourg

From 6 to 15 July, Anna Demchenko, Grants Manager at Charity Fund "Blagomay," represented the Fund at the Erasmus+ seminar "Voting rights for foreigners in elections as a democratic lever for civic inclusion and the fight against discrimination against minorities." Organized by the French association AMSED with EU co-funding

40+ participants from 18 countries across Europe, North Africa, and the Caucasus. 10 days of working together

What we discussed:

▪️ minority participation in public life — the barriers that block access and the opportunities that already exist

▪️ advocacy as a tool for promoting minority participation

▪️ countering fake news, prejudice, and stereotypes

▪️ voting rights for foreigners, with a comparison of practices across countries

▪️ non-formal education methodology and Erasmus+ project design

▪️ an organizations' fair and building partnerships

▪️ designing our own projects and pitching them to a panel

✅ Participants also visited the European Court of Human Rights

The seminar's theme connects directly to Blagomay's priorities: our organization works with vulnerable groups every day — which makes civic inclusion and the removal of barriers to public participation part of our daily practice

The key outcome: new contacts, concrete project ideas, and potential international partnerships that will work for the benefit of children and youth in Ukraine. 🤝
