19.05.2015 met Dnipropetrovsk PR-club dedicated to building a reputation of voluntary organizations was very interesting and informative. More than 20 club members gathered to listen to our three distinguished speakers. Below the most interesting abstracts of their presentations:
Natalya Khazan volunteer and public figure. Theme: "Volunteering and social movement: building a dialogue with target audiences, communications tools": - Deposit impeccable reputation of a volunteer is the choice of partners, loved ones in spirit.
- Those who wish to help soldiers ATO must first explore the needs of the military, otherwise it will lead to an excess of certain drugs or the things in the warehouses and will provoke corruption in the army. So, donors should also track information on the Internet and to communicate directly with the volunteers that their help was really useful.
- Social network and personal contacts remain the main channels of communication volunteers. Community with 2300 friends of Natalia, based on geographical principle (mainly Kiev), allows you to successfully organize the collection of needed items and money.
- Dnipropetrovsk psychological crisis service (PCs) is a branch of the all-Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian Association of specialists on overcoming the consequences of traumatic events", which has more than 600 people. In the Dnepropetrovsk branch has more than 100 psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists.
- The purpose of the service – providing timely and effective psychological care in crisis situations to all segments of the population, especially soldiers and members of their families, as well as all those who suffered during the ATO.
- Motivation psychologists-volunteers is very high. It is a civil position and the ability to communicate in an international circle of specialists, improve their professional level. Because in Ukraine not previously conducted operations, the experience of receiving psychological crisis aid is not available.
- For service with a staff of more than 100 psychologists-volunteers a greater role played by internal communication. The main internal message of strict compliance to industry rules and standards, because PPS is an authorised member of the European community for the study of traumatic stress (ESTSS) and must adhere to high professional standards. As DCC works with state agencies, in the case of citizens, we find out what kind of help you need and explain where to go, if we are talking about specialized assistance (e.g., medical or psychiatric). Thus we help to formulate the right query and navigate the nature of the problem.
- Journalists receive very little information about the work of the service. They are more interested in emotional, sentimental details, but the service has strict ethical restrictions on the disclosure of information.
- Greater efforts should be made to conduct outreach activities on the recognition of manifestations of posttraumatic disorders. To explain peculiarities of disorders and the difference between conditions such as acute stress reaction, stress disorder and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

- In Ukraine there is no legislative base which would regulate the installation of charity boxes to raise funds. Therefore, there are numerous fraudulent organizations.
- Компанії, які бажають надати допомогу через благодійний фонд, мають спершу обов’язково зібрати про нього інформацію, завітати на сайт, дослідити посилання в Інтернеті. На солідну організацію мають бути посилання та новини у серйозних джерелах про її діяльність.
- Якщо Ви отримали дзвінок з фонду з проханням надати допомогу, відразу поцікавтесь, звідки співрозмовник знає Ваш номер телефону.
- It is desirable that the security of Your company also ran a charitable organization with which You plan to operate.
- In Ukraine there are only two major organizations that bring together charities: the Association of philanthropists of Ukraine and Ukrainian philanthropists forum. If the organization that appeals to You with a request for assistance, is not included in these organizations, it is unreliable, it should be checked carefully.
- There are European standards for the transparency of the sites charities. The site must be given:
- Full information about man-founders.
- Reports on activities.
- Section "media" for a list of publications in different sources about the organization.
- Feedback from partners and existing donors to the Fund.
- List of partners of the Fund.
- Стрічка новин. Якщо новини на сайті фонду з’являються рідко, це досить підозріло.
