Fund "Blagoy" is a partner of the Campaign 'Severing doors for children' This event United representatives of public organizations, volunteers and journalists who are interested in reforms that can guarantee the legitimate right of every child to grow up in a family. I started the Campaign in the Ukraine two years ago, we outlined the main problems: the lack of discourse in the media, ignoring the problems of the society, lack of expertise in the field of de-institutionalisation (DI), lack of affiliated politicians, financial mechanisms and infrastructure the ground for reforms. Misunderstanding of the nature of the problem has led to periodic attempts of pseudo-reform of the institutions (changes of names or technical re-equipment of boarding schools) and provided a constant flow of material support of orphanages from businesses and volunteers. Through cooperation and attraction of partners we have managed to achieve impressive results: a significant part of society has acknowledged the issue, related topics beginning publicized in the media, a discussion started on the topic of reasonable charity. We have received support from the Central and regional bodies of the Ukrainian authorities, so we managed to conduct an audit of residential care facilities whose data will form the basis of the strategy of deinstitutionalization and launch Ukraine's first regional program of comprehensive reform of child protection in the Odessa region.
