From March 2014, the Centre for Social Assistance and Rehabilitation by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv’s Patriarchate «Transfiguration of the Lord» started to provide accommodation for people who have left their homes for saving their lives and their children from fighting in the East. During this period, we helped about 500 families have provided temporary shelter. The volunteer organizations helped us with clothing and food. Currently, 70 people live in the Centre (30 of them are children), most of them are non-protected representatives such as children, disabled children, people with disabilities, insulin-dependent diabetics, pensioners, large families, single mothers.
