5.02.2017 a group of volunteers from the “Blagomay” fund, has visited the “Cheburashka” orphanage, in the village named Rokitnoe, Kiev district.
Volunteer Elena taught wonderful lesson on How To Decorate a ginger cookie. Here is an impression from volunteer Irina: “ That was an amazing day of meeting and communicating with children. I will add more photos of the whole process later on.
Also we have been joined by Maria Vovchok, who interviewed Vova — talented and extraordinary lad. Every Saturday he goes from Rotkinoe to Kiev art-school. The road takes him 3 hours. Fortunately there is a family that helps him. Every time he is late on a night bus, he remains at their house over night. Among other photos you can find his amazing art works.
Family presented him painting tablet and now he is learning how to use it. He is planning on attending Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture this year.
Im grateful for the opportunity to meet Valeria Viushina. She was driving a car and gave us all a very positive attitude. Also I was so pleased to see her commitment to the kids, it was just lovely.
On our way back we got stuck in the huge traffic but it didn’t let us down, we laughed so much. We were so hungry that we took the last ginger cookie we had as well as nuts that we prepared for squirrels and ate them all. Obviously that wasn’t enough for all of us. But we were lucky enough to find cheburechnay on our way. Oh well, when else would we have an opportunity to eat chebureki?
