On July 23rd, 2014 the Act of Gratitude event took place in the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, where Ukrainian soldiers, injured during Anti Terrorist Operation (ATO), are being treated. Among the artists who participated in the event for soldiers were Kvartal 95, Oleksandr Ponomaryov, Victor Pavlik, Kishe, Anna Zavalska Vitaliy Kozlovskiy, musical bands Vremya i Steklo, Druga Rika and many others. The artists carefully selected the songs they performed. Singer-songwriter Arsen Mirzoyan performed a song he wrote after returning from the battlefield. Andriy Kishe’s little daughters created an artwork about Ukraine, which they gave to the hospital. Artists gave flowers to soldiers, thanked for their courage and stayed long after the concert had finished to talk to soldiers.
Act of Gratitude was initiated by representatives of Boris Clinic, City Beach Club Family, M1 TV channel and Blagomay charity. In just few days the organizers collected everything that soldiers were in need of. Medicine, medical supplies, hygiene items necessary to treat Ukrainian soldiers were donated to the hospital. Boris Clinic donated more than UAH 150,000 – all of which was contributed by the clinic’s staff. Moreover, Boris Clinic’s President Mykhailo Radutskiy, donated medical equipment the hospital was lacking, including patient monitor UMZ 300 and automatic syringe dispenser USP-100. Soldiers received hundreds of paintings and letters from children in Ukrainian orphanages and children that re-settled from Eastern Ukraine. We thank them as well as all the contributors and volunteers for their support!
The organizers are already planning other similar events to support soldiers who are being treated in hospitals around Ukraine – in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and other cities.
Do something good today!
